This year saw us with a new updated tournament format - we decided not to hold a briefing night this year and we had 10 boats starting the tournament anywhere within the permitted fishing zone, from Jenny Louise to the middle Ribbons. Good weather was forecast for the 4 days and we had a non compulsory $1000 buy in for the tournament calcutta, with all boats entering, bar one.
Reg Moore’s new boat Iluka took the lead on day 1 with 2 tags (750 and 200lb) for anglers Jack Moore and Scott Winkworth. Amokura tagged one fish for angler Dave Dormer, putting them in second place and couple of other boats had fish hooked and lost.

A huge heartfelt congratulations for Captain Gavin Goodwin, his crew Todd and Stretch and champion angler Ben Henderson - a well deserved win! The boys took home some awesome prizes - Penn 130 rod and reel, lure roll with a heap of Blue Dog lures and a good calcutta prize.
It was also fantastic to have some female angler participation this year so a BIG congratulations to Lily Sims, junior female angler on board Bounty Hunter who took out the Champion Female Angler award with 3 fish on count back from Crystal Trkulja on Little Tubs. We haven't had a female angler prize winner since Lisa Goodwin won Champion Angler back in 2013!
